I was born on July 23rd, 1955. I have never understood if I am a Cancer or a Lion, and moreover I have never understood what would be the usefulness of understanding it.

I always was an undisciplined student: at the end of primary school, where I had very good results, they wrote that my need of physical activity could undermine my intellectual capacity (in my view, I would be really worried if a child under 10 was too quiet!)

In any case, later, when I was almost 18, I addressed my physical energy to sport practice. Even if I am not tall (m. 1.75), I grew up as a good high jumper (m. 2.19). But my good performances were not enough: in fact I have always been the bad athlete of the family: first, when I still lived with my parents, there was my brother (Olympic finalist in Moscow, 1980), then I went living in a new house with my girl friend (Olympic athlete in Seoul, 1988).

Now, I live in a nice and not big apartment in downtown Ancona, together with Annalisa Gambelli (the athlete mentioned above: pict1, pict2) and my two children Nicolò (born January 9th, 1992: pict1, pict2, pict3), Lorenza  (born October 7th, 1994: pict1, pict2), there was Mio Miotti (died 2007); we have a “substitute” now, Orazio, here with Lorenza and again.
